Northeast has multiple air defense bases
  • Defense provided by USAF and ANG
  • Armed with armed F-16s and F-16s
  • Pilots in barracks 24/7 ready to scramble within five minutes.
  • Fighters can reach 30,000 in 1 minute; can fly over 1600 mph: NYC to Washington in under 10 minutes.
