Only Severe Earthquakes (and Demolition) Have Leveled Skyscrapers

Skyscrapers are designed to withstand earthquakes and hurricanes.

Outside of demolition, only severe earthquakes have caused "total collapse" of steel frame high-rise buildings.
Those cases are rare.
Those, unlike WTC 1, 2, and 7:

• Were not skyscrapers, designed to less demanding standards.
• Left large semi-intact pieces, not just crushed rubble.
• Did not collapse in a radially symmetric fashion.
